Great question from listener Furniture4Work

Here was my answer about how to handle an incomplete bank data import in FreshBooks.

I will share three videos where I discuss this issue.

But the long and short of it is that when you drill down into the particular account inside bank reconciliation, there will be a button on the top of the left side column that says "add missing bank transaction" and that is where you will put the transactions from the day you want to start importing through the day prior to the first day it did import. Then once you add those, your left side column in bank reconciliation will be much longer and all those expenses will have been added.

Public Service Announcement regarding journal entries in FreshBooks to all the citizens of the great United States of America.

If you're using FreshBooks for your bookkeeping, there is a 98% chance that you file your taxes on a cash basis.

But there's just one tiny problem. The current default coding of FreshBooks does not show every journal entry on your cash basis reports.

You have to email their support desk and ask for them to turn on a little button to allow all of your journal entries to show.

Y'all know that Relay for business banking is my #1 recommended first tool that a business owner needs. And remember, I say this as someone who makes her living specializing a bookkeeping software (FreshBooks).

A bank account should come before any other financial tool, even FreshBooks or any other bookkeeping software.

And I suggest Relay because it is So.Much.More than just your business bank account. It is like a miniature financial operating system.

Exhibit 378 -> Recurring invoices from inside of your Relay Bank account.
