Financial Analyst, Operations, $1000 Sign on Bonus

Garlock Printing and Converting is hiring for a Financial Analyst, to support the CFO and other Team Members by accurately valuing inventory and assessing customer profitability. Specific Emphasis will be on Standard Cost Setup/Maintenance/Analysis and the accuracy of Job Cost and Inventory Reports.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create/Prepare/Analyze/Maintain standard cost within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Production Software
Create/Prepare/Analyze/Maintain standard and custom Inventory Reports
Analyze reports for accuracy of data input and output
Review Job Costing of all Production Jobs – including variance analysis
Analyze and communicate Job and General Costing trends and opportunities
Review Transactional postings for accuracy and reasonableness
Prepare Inventory Related Month End Journal Entries
Support Month End and Year End close process
Prepare weekly and monthly margin reports by customer and by product type
Prepare daily and weekly KPI reports to track key cost and profitability drivers
Assist Internal and External audits to ensure compliance
Review and Implement modifications to Inventory Systems and Procedures
Develop and Document Business Processes and Accounting Policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ad Hoc analyses as needed
Comply and follow all procedures within the company safety and security policies
Be willing and able to work as part of a fast-paced dynamic team
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Power Point, and especially Excel (including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables)
Proficiency in dealing with financial and numeric data
Proven report writing and data manipulation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Customer focus and proven interpersonal skills
Effective communication and escalation skills
Strong organization capability
The ability to work independently, and part of a wider team
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a similar field, or 3 years of progressive experience on an accounting team
Hands-on work with Month End and Year End close cycles is a plus
Hands-on work with physical inventory reporting is a plus
Manufacturing Costing experience is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing duties of the job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and will spend much of the time on the production floor. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to sit; use hands to feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear. Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stopping, and reaching below knees and above shoulders.
