Happy National Red W**e Day! 🍷

We’re celebrating with a look at just a few of the different red w**e styles you can find in our tasting room. Whether you like something light and fruit-forward, smooth and easy-drinking, bold and structured, or rich and full-bodied, there’s a red to explore.

With 10+ red w**es currently in the tasting room, there’s plenty of room to find a new favorite, or discover that your palate likes something completely different than you expected. 🍷

There are still a few more summer afternoons to savor.

On Sunday, September 6, we’re spending one of them at the w**ery with w**e, b**r, oysters, live music, local makers, and good food. A pretty good way to ease into Labor Day weekend and enjoy a little more of summer before the season changes.

Greggory’s Grill will be serving oysters, El Guapo will have tacos, and the Abrams Bridge Band will be playing from 1 to 4. You can wander through the local craft vendors, settle in with a glass of James River Cellars w**e, or try a craft b**r from our friends at

We’ve spent this summer celebrating 25 years of w**emaking at James River Cellars, and we’re grateful to have spent so much of that time surrounded by this community. We’re looking forward to sharing the afternoon with you.

Come for the oysters. Stay for the music. Find a spot in the sunshine, catch up with friends, and enjoy the afternoon.

Celebrate Spoil Your Dog Day with us at James River Cellars! 🐾

Join us this Saturday, August 8, from 12:00–5:00pm for a free, family-friendly afternoon dedicated to the dogs who make life a little sweeter.

Bring your four-legged best friend and enjoy:
• Virginia w**e & local craft b**r
• Live music (1-4pm)
• Delicious food
• RVA pet vendors
• Adoptable dogs from Beagles & Bentleys

We love welcoming dogs to James River Cellars year-round, and Spoil Your Dog Day is our favorite opportunity to celebrate our four-legged guests and the people who love them.

Admission is free, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. We hope you'll gather your family, friends, and favorite pup for an afternoon of wagging tails, great w**e, and unforgettable memories.

For 25 years, James River Cellars W**ery has been bringing people together over award-winning Virginia w**e. Now, we're adding another reason to gather.

We're now pouring four b**rs from Crazy Rooster Brewing by the pint, alongside the w**es you know and love.

W**e will always be at the heart of what we do. Adding b**r simply means it's a little easier to gather your favorite people...whether they're w**e lovers, b**r drinkers, or somewhere in between.

As we continue to celebrate 25 years of sharing great w**e and memorable moments, we're excited for this next chapter. And there's even more to look forward to. In the next couple of months, we'll be introducing our own house-brewed b**r, crafted right here at James River Cellars.
