If you are looking to become an operator you must posess:
- A clean MVR
- A Valid For Hire Endorsement or Class A
- The Ability to pass an initial and random Drug tests
- Experience preferred, however we will train the right candidate
- Customer Service Skills
- The Ability to Communicate Effectively
- Maintain a professional appearance and keeping your equipment neat and orderly
- The Ability to be Reliable and fulfill your scheduling requirements

Mr. Gerald Lee Jerry Byrd of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on the early morning of Saturday, November 22, 2025, having attained the age of 67 years. Jerry was born March 21, 1958, in Pasadena, Maryland, a son of the late Silas Byrd and Rose Marie Cole Byrd Trammell. Jerry

The first snowfall is upon us and Tis the season for giving! This year HIX Wrecker service is teaming up with Riley Electric to present the Tiny Lights for Big Hearts parade. We will be going over the river and through the wood to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Riley Children’s Hospital to show our love and support to these kiddo’s. We’re asking for the communities help with toy donations! Monetary donations are accepted as well using the QR codes below. Help us light up the night and the smiles on the kids faces this year!

The fact that its still October and you can already buy a Christmas tree off the shelf is strange. Almost like its too soon to talk about?

This subject however...... isn't too soon to discuss as sometimes, depending on where you're at financially, this may need to be done in a few steps. Are you ready for winter? How about your car?

Here's some things to think about as winter is quickly approaching.

- Always make sure your tank is half full or better. You never know when the unfortunate might happen. Having plenty of fuel will help you stay warm until help arrives.

- Make sure you have items to keep the hunger away and keep you hydrated. Snacks and water are a great idea. Chances are, you're not the only person stuck and it might be a while.

- Other items to consider... Blankets, flashlights and emergency signaling devices, first aid kit, jumper cables, extra fluids (oil, coolant, transmission, and brake)

It's not all about what you can pack in the car for survival. Preventative maintenance extremely important. Tires........ Tires....... Tires...... we cannot stress this enough. Yes, they can be expensive, you should see our tire bill. Good tread goes a long way, figuratively and literally.

Overall, making sure your car has a clean bill of health is essential for getting through to cold months. Everything from tail lights to wiper blades. It all matters.
