Women Entrepreneurs are changing the game in research, our communities, and across public health.

Weโ€™re proud to recognize WE Public Health as a partner of National Black Researchers Week.

WE Public Health (Women Entrepreneurs in Public Health) is a collective of consultants, researchers, strategists, and entrepreneurs committed to co-creating a more just and equitable world. Through research, evaluation, facilitation, training, and community-centered practice, they are helping organizations and communities turn ideas into impact.

Their work reflects something we believe deeply at National Black Researchers Week: research is not just about generating knowledge, itโ€™s about creating equitable change.

Thank you to WE Public Health, LLC for supporting this weekโ€™s celebration of Black researchers, innovators, and changemakers across disciplines.

Data without dignity is just extraction.

Our partner TERSHA LLC is building something different. ๐Ÿ–ค

TERSHA LLC is a narrative systems strategy firm helping organizations design, implement, and measure programs with clarity, cultural grounding, and collective care.

Their work translates complexity into actionable insight across education, public health, philanthropy, and workforce development in the U.S. and globally.

What sets them apart:

โœฆ Relational Leadership as Designโ„ข โ€” a signature framework that cultivates shared power, sustainable practices, and data-informed decision-making

โœฆ Deep commitment to data dignity โ€” the belief that how we collect and use data either honors or harms the communities it represents

โœฆ Culturally grounded evaluation and research that actually reflects the communities being served

Because when data meets dignity โ€” organizations thrive and communities flourish.

Research that centers African immigrant communities led by African immigrant communities.

That is the vision driving our partner, the African Immigrant Health Research Collaborative. ๐Ÿ–ค

AIHRC is a national network dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of African immigrant communities through community-led research, training, and meaningful engagement.

Their work challenges structural inequities and promotes culturally grounded approaches to research because African immigrant voices, experiences, and solutions deserve to be centered, not extracted.

And they have something powerful coming up ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

๐ŸŒAfricanizing the Research Paradigm Summit (ARP2026)

A full-day virtual convening on November 12, 2026

Theme: "Naming What Guides Us"

Exploring the question: What values connect African immigrant communities across cultures and histories โ€” and what do they teach us about how research should be understood and practiced?

Mark your calendar. This is going to be a conversation that shifts things.

Black researchers and communities deserve to work together on equal ground, with equal trust.

That is exactly what our partner, Our Healthy Community, is building. ๐Ÿ–ค

Our Healthy Community (OHC) exists to create culturally appropriate spaces where community and faith-based organizations and researchers can actually work together equitably, respectfully, and with real trust.

Through two powerful platforms:

๐Ÿ”น OHCEngage โ€” a digital portal for community members to engage in ongoing conversations about equity, their collective needs, and shared capabilities

๐Ÿ”น OHCResearch โ€” a portal connecting researchers who are committed to working with underrepresented communities on projects that center community voice

Because the trust between communities of color and researchers has been broken, and it takes intentional, collaborative infrastructure to rebuild it.

We are proud to have OHC as a partner for National Black Researchers Week 2026.

National Black Researchers Week is officially here.

This week carries legacy, honors vision, and reminds us that what is built in community does not disappear when one person has to step back. It gets carried forward.

This week began because Black researchers needed dedicated spaces for connection, visibility, growth, and restoration. That need has not gone away. If anything, this moment has made it even more urgent.

So we gather, remember, restore, and build forward.

Join us for National Black Researchers Week 2026.

Imagine ending National Black Researchers Week feeling seen, clear, connected, and reminded of why this work matters.

That is the goal. Not information overload. Not another obligation. Not another virtual event that leaves you with more to do and less capacity to do it.

This week was created to restore what systems have tried to drain. It is a reminder that your brilliance is not accidental, your work is not small, and your presence in this field still matters deeply.

This is not another webinar series. It is a carefully designed experience.

Every day serves a purpose. Every session meets you where you are. Whether you need strategy, community, rest, reflection, or simply a space where you do not have to explain why this moment feels heavy, National Black Researchers Week was built with you in mind.

Expect opening vision, honest conversations, intentional networking, co-resting space, and a Juneteenth reflection rooted in liberation, research, and what comes next.

Not just why is this happening, but what can we do. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

That shift in perspective is everything. In the face of loss, in the face of systems that were never built for us, in the face of a political moment that is actively working against Black researchers we are still choosing action. We are still choosing community. We are still choosing joy.

In this episode of The Public Health Joy Podcast, I'm sharing what it means to carry a legacy forward with honor and why National Black Researchers Week is the place for all of us to gather this June. Registration is completely free and open to everyone who believes in this mission.

Supporting Black researchers is not charity. It is infrastructure.

When Black researchers are resourced, connected, restored, and celebrated, the entire research ecosystem becomes stronger. The questions get deeper, the frameworks become more honest, and the work becomes more connected to lived experience.

Communities are not just data points. They are partners, leaders, and sources of wisdom. That is what National Black Researchers Week is about. We are creating the kind of space Black researchers have deserved all along.

Join us June 15โ€“19.
