We found a long creepy crawly inside and gave it a nudge. See it curl into a tight little ball? That's typical millipede behavior β not that of a centipede. Centipedes are fast, flat, and would rather bolt than ball up.
Good news: millipedes aren't dangerous. No bites, no stings, no damage to your home. Bad news: nobody wants a surprise ball of legs showing up in their bathroom at 11pm. π
They sneak in chasing moisture. Think damp basements, mulch piled against the foundation, leaky pipes, or leaf litter too close to the house. Fix the moisture, and you fix most of the problem. That, and have a consistent spraying schedule.
