Tacky mats are a great way to prevent dust and dirt from entering the data center by removing contaminants from soles of shoes and wheels of carts. ASHRAE recommends 15 linear feet of tacky mat surface to ensure 3 foot falls per foot and 3 full rotations of wheels but rarely do data centers have that amount room available. So we recommend the tacky mat dance!
