This is prime example of going the cheap route and hiring unarmed security without the proper training to deal with situations that may arise.

Now, they're going straight to using the police.

Unarmed security is good until it's not. There's a time & place for narmed security. Placing them in a place where there's constant violence, shooting isn't the correct place to use unarmed security guards.

When a gunman opened fire at Virginia's Old Dominion University on Thursday, killing an instructor and injuring two other people, Reserve Officers' Training Corps students stepped in to subdue and kill the suspect, officials said.

The suspect, identified as Mohamed Jalloh, a former Army National Guardsman who was convicted of giving material support to ISIS, allegedly was trying to commit a terrorist attack, officials told reporters.

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger identified the person who was killed as Lt. Col. Brandon Shah.
