Senator Joe Pittman and Representatives Jim Struzzi and Brian Smith recently announced a significant boost to local infrastructure, with over $5 million in state funding allocated to eight projects across Indiana and Jefferson Counties. Approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, these grants aim to enhance transportation and water infrastructure, including roadway extensions, stormwater upgrades, sidewalk improvements, and streetscape enhancements.

These investments are vital for maintaining and improving the quality of life in our communities. From supporting economic development at the Windy Ridge Business & Technology Park to upgrading stormwater systems and pedestrian safety in various townships, the projects reflect a commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities. The Multimodal Transportation Fund, which funds these initiatives, focuses on creating safe, reliable transportation options and enhancing connectivity.
