The Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce had a successful and productive meeting with NYC Small Business Services Commissioner Kenny Minaya and Deputy Commissioner Kitty Chan, together with our Chamber board members.

We discussed opportunities for collaboration and how SBS and our Chamber can work together to better support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and the broader business community across New York City.

As a new and growing Chamber, we are grateful for the opportunity to build meaningful partnerships with city agencies and connect our members with valuable resources, programs, and support.

We look forward to continued collaboration with NYC Small Business Services to empower and strengthen our business community.

Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce had the honor of organizing a fruitful interaction program last night with Hon. Pukar Bom, Member of Parliament of Nepal & Consul General Dadhi Ram Bhandari joined by Chamber members and community leaders.

The discussion focused on Nepal’s economic growth, the role of the Nepali diaspora in supporting national development, and ways our community abroad can continue contributing after the recent political changes and youth-led movement in Nepal.

Although we live outside Nepal, our commitment to Nepal’s progress remains strong. The Nepali diaspora will always stand ready to support the country through collaboration, investment, advocacy, and community partnership.

We sincerely thank Hon. Pukar Bom for his time, insights, and meaningful conversation with our members and community leaders.

Yesterday, the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce hosted an engaging interaction program with Dr. Biswash Gauchan, Executive Chair of the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS).
Dr. Gauchan emphasized that Nepal must move beyond remittance-driven growth and actively integrate into global value chains to achieve sustainable economic progress. The insightful discussion brought together members of the Nepali diaspora, business leaders, and policy stakeholders at Himalayan Restaurant & Bar in Jackson Heights.
