The event brought together professionals from recognized organizations across the region to share ideas, discuss workplace best practices, and learn from one another through collaborative discussions focused on employee engagement, recognition, work-life balance, and leadership. Attendees also heard from a panel of CEOs who shared insights from their leadership journeys and answered questions from the audience.

We're excited to announce two promotions within our Schupan Aluminum & Plastic Sales team.

Matt Webster has been promoted to Vice President, and Kevin Roschek has been named Senior Director of Divisional Operations.

Everyone, please stop scrolling and say hi to Mr. Mike Emig 👋

8 years at Schupan, retail team lead at SIRS Miller Road, newly certified crane operator, and the kind of guy who knows every single customer by name; these are just a few of the things that make Mike so special to us.

Mike's first job was actually at his uncle's paint recycling business, so you could say he was a Schupan shoo-in. Actually, we'll say it, cause what a great phrase! Schupan shoo-in. Outside work, he's probably golfing, bowling, camping, fishing, or hanging out with his wife and their Dog, Zeus (lab-boxer-pit mix). Mike also played college soccer in France and Spain, holds all the sprint records at Parchment, and has video of a coworker going down after doing the hot chip challenge, a memory he holds pretty fondly.🌶️

Michigan's bottle deposit law has been a model for the nation for decades — but we need to improve the consumers' experience to maximize its effectiveness.

Schupan's COO, Tom Emmerich, sat down with The Great Voice of the Great Lakes to discuss proposed changes to Michigan's bottle return system and what they could mean for the program's future.

His advice to consumers is straightforward: TAKE 'EM BACK. Return your bottles and cans. Every container returned makes a big difference!

The current laws need to be enforced. Retailers must take back deposit containers they sell. If you come across a store that isn’t accepting returns, that's a violation! You can report non-compliant stores to the Michigan Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division:
