Yesterday we got invited to an award/bbq banquet through the Local 8 Plumber Union. We received the “Community Labor Partner Award” from the Boy Scouts of America. Which was as much an honor as a shock. Considering dozens of contractors and hundreds of men and women go to the Bartle Scout Camp each spring to assist with getting the campground ready for the upcoming year. Our guys have rotated each year taking turns going down and pumping various pit toilets. We like to say “It’s the most fun you can have working on a Saturday while not getting paid”. We look forward to it each year working alongside so many other trades with the same common goal. Thankful for the crew we have that volunteers to work on a normally scheduled day off. -Josh Cavaness

Had some unfortunate events at work today. Thanks to the quick work of the Lees Summit Fire Department Nobody was injured in any way (People,Dogs,Cats or otherwise). Property damage was bad but could’ve been substantially worse. Just a reminder if you see Red and Blue lights behind you to move over it could be your property or people they are trying to save.

The crew has been hard at it all summer and this week was no exception. It’s no secret Kansas City is in the middle of a heat wave. We had a customer with a 2” cast iron underslab drain line giving them repeated trouble. We came in and diagnosed that it had deteriorated underneath the furnace. We found the existing line on the opposite side of the mechanical room. After running a camera to the city main we determined the remainder of the line was still in working condition and rerouted the new line around the mechanical room and reattached. We had a customer with a 60+ year old septic tank that had seen its useful life. We pumped out the existing tank,caved the tank top in and filled with dirt. Offset a new 2 compartment concrete 1000 gallon tank to be outve the way for the future front porch, installed a new 4” sch 40 PVC inlet line then reconnected to the existing laterals. Backfilled and customer was back in service by the time they got home. If you need a similar service and we can be of help let us know. Thank You!

We pump anything from septic tanks to grease traps,holding tanks,flooded basements,lift stations. You name it. We’ve probably done it (excluding hazmat waste). If the weatherman is anywhere near right the temps are flirting with triple digits. The guys have been instructed to get the trucks to the last job by 2:30-3pm as they’ve been out in the heat since 7am. So if you need service we would be happy to get you scheduled but hand digging lids and working past 4pm is on hold til Mother Nature turns the thermostat down a notch or two. We offer residential/light commercial drain cleaning including the first hour onsite for $189. With an accessible and useable cleanout. We carry multiple drain machines on our service trucks rated for 1.25” - 10” lines. (most residential drains & sewers are 1.5”- 6” throughout the plumbing system). We will properly size the machine to the size of the line we’re working on. That’s why 7 outve 10 need nothing more than a standard cleanout when backups arise. If there is more issues or you want us to investigate further into the problem we have a sewer camera and locater that will pinpoint issues and we can give you options going forward. Exciting News! We have recently acquired “All-N-One Plumbing”. Cory Hubbard built a Great Plumbing Company over a span of 2 decades. Taking care of customers around the Greater Kansas City Area. We look forward in continuing to do the same for his existing customers while offering a wider variety of services. We will be operating still under the name “Chapman Septic Service LLC” so if there is any confusion hopefully this will clear it up. We are merging computer systems,updating websites all while the girls are keeping the guys busy on jobs. Remember to check on the elderly,neighbors,etc during the intense heat we’re having this week. We will be starting early as jobs allow to try and avoid the high temps the best we can. Tanks will need to be accessible before we dispatch trucks (hand digging is on hold) We will need to be onsite prior to 2:30pm to avoid the guys getting overheated. Thank You and stay safe out there!

Rene is going to have to make room with her Missouri Basic Septic Installer Course Certification as Dalton passed his test today. He is most often out pumping anything from septic tanks to grease traps as well as holding tanks. On slower days he never hesitates to jump in and help the install/repair crew on a job either. Nice Job & Congratulations Dalton!
