Just a little PSA

We are about to be posting a lot of finished products. With that being said, if you would like to use our services- please be advised that we are now charging $10/inch for improperly skinned animals.

When we take in deer, 90% of the time they are already caped and frozen. It’s hard to calculate how “bad” the cape is until after it’s tanned. While both of these customers were alerted of the poor condition prior to tanning, the reality of just how bad they were can clearly be seen here during the test fit.

If you aren’t confident in your caping skills- PLEASE reach out! This year, we will offer in house processing at our Kaplan, LA location.

Pro tip when using Matuska Taxidermy Supply Company pack mount kit- order extra EXTRA rope 😂 we’ll be adding the finishing touches to this big guy and he’ll be off to his forever home very soon!
