Why AI can’t match human creative work

Even when people can’t tell the difference between human and AI content, they usually prefer the human, studies show.

It’s hard for people to tell the difference between AI-generated advertising and writing. So why do they respond better to the human-made stuff?

AI vs. Mad Men
Ipsos, along with faculty members from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, just published a unique advertising study. They took 20 real ads from major brands, including Cheerios, Chewy, Febreze, Fiat, H&M, Old Navy, Herbal Essences, Ray-Ban Meta, TurboTax and Visa. They fed the same creative briefs used by the human ad creatives into Google Gemini, then used OpenAI’s Sora to generate fully AI-produced counterparts with no human intervention.

Why Encrypted File Sharing Is Essential for Modern Businesses

Consider the history of any recent corporate scandal, and it is quite possible to guess what the story began with: a poorly secured file.

No complex hacker intrusion, no state-sponsored attacks, just a document that had been sent to the wrong address, left in an unprotected storage space or forwarded to a person who could hardly be trusted with confidential information.

As for modern businesses, they almost certainly store some sort of confidential data and exchange it in a manner that is far from being secure.

Here comes the explanation of what encrypted file sharing really is and how it makes things better for businesses.

Astros activate Hader from IL for season debut.

Astros closer Josh Hader, who hasn’t pitched in a Major League game in nearly 10 months, was activated from the injured list prior to Tuesday’s game against the Pirates, returning a huge piece to Houston’s bullpen.

Hader, who missed the final two months of last season with a left shoulder capsule strain, reported to Spring Training a few weeks behind schedule after being diagnosed with biceps tendinitis at the start of February. The Astros took it slow with his rehab, which included nine Minor League games between Triple-A Sugar Land and Double-A Corpus Christi.

7 Powerful Screenshot Features Hidden in Windows 11

From quick keyboard shortcuts to AI-powered OCR and GIF creation, Windows 11 includes far more screenshot tools than most people realize.

Windows 11 includes many different ways to take screenshots, from the traditional Print Screen key to the full-featured Snipping Tool. You can annotate screen captures or even run optical character recognition (OCR) to easily extract text. Windows also lets you record your screen, and the operating system can trim those videos and convert them into animated GIFs in a few clicks. Here are seven ways to take a screenshot; at least one should fit your needs.

Instagram users locked out after Meta AI abused to steal accounts.

Multiple Instagram users had their accounts hijacked after attackers convinced Meta’s AI-powered support tools that they were the legitimate owners.

In many cases, impacted users are unable to recover access due to the platform's use of automated assistance that involves only AI/chatbot loops and no human support agents.

On Monday, multiple holders of rare and high-value accounts reported suddenly losing access to their accounts, claiming that their identities had been verified via facial scans and that they had enabled safeguards such as two-factor authentication (2FA).

Types of Cyberattacks: The Complete Guide

A complete guide to the major types of cyberattacks — from malware and phishing to injection, credential, and AI-enabled attacks — and how to defend against each.

A cyberattack is any deliberate attempt by an individual or group to gain unauthorized access to a computer system, network, or device in order to steal data, disrupt operations, or cause damage. Cyberattacks are not a single phenomenon. They are a sprawling family of techniques, each with its own method of entry, intended target, and end goal — and new variants appear constantly as technology and defenses evolve.

Understanding the types of cyberattacks is the foundation of cybersecurity. Defenders who know how attacks are categorized can anticipate where threats will come from, recognize an attack in progress, and apply the right controls to the right risk. For security teams, executives, and everyday users alike, that mental map is the difference between reacting blindly and defending deliberately.

This guide is a complete map of the cyberattack landscape. It explains how attacks are categorized, breaks down every major attack type — from malware and phishing to injection, credential, and AI-enabled attacks — and outlines the defenses that reduce the risk of each. Use it as a starting point, and follow the links throughout to deeper explainers on individual topics.

Attackers Abuse ChatGPT Share Links to Host Fake Outage Pages That Deliver Malware

Threat actors are exploiting ChatGPT's content-sharing feature to set up fake OpenAI outage pages. These pages instruct users to download malware disguised as the ChatGPT desktop app.

The campaign, called "LLMShare" and uncovered by Push Security, uses Google ads to lead users to a malicious shared ChatGPT page hosted on the legitimate chatgpt.com domain.

Since the lure is delivered through a genuine OpenAI URL, it avoids the usual warning signs of phishing infrastructure controlled by attackers.
