A few photos from today’s engagement cocktail party.

What started as a conversation at our Derby Eve Open House turned into a beautiful afternoon celebrating family, friends, and a newly engaged couple.

Chef Marc Bashir created a menu of sliders, skewers, and cocktail party favorites. Indigo Fig brought its signature charcuterie artistry to the table, while Proper Things styled the serving pieces and presentation with beautiful vintage Florentine trays, thoughtfully matched to the host’s mother’s collection, helping bring everything together.

We are grateful to have been invited to be part of such a special day and to collaborate with so many talented people in the process.

Join us today for the final Market Saturday of our May Fair celebration.

We’re getting ready to say goodbye to spring and hello to the warm days of summer with fresh flowers, seasonal treats, beautiful provisions, and plenty of reasons to stop by.

🍝 A fresh drop of gluten-free dry pastas has arrived, including Conchiglie, Trecce, Curly Lasagna, and Macaroni. You’ll also find cheese tortellini in the freezer case—perfect paired with Chef Nicole Walker’s Sunday Sauce.

As Memorial Day weekend comes to a close, we pause with gratitude to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country and the families who continue to carry that sacrifice forward every day. ❤️🤍💙

This week’s Chef’s Choice lineup feels like the perfect sendoff to spring:

Whether you’re treating yourself, spending a quality long weekend together, heading to the lake, or hosting a crowd around the table… this is the week to stock up.

We’re also excited to introduce two new additions to the Short Street lineup this week:

✨ Please help us welcome Jasanna Evans, our newest pastry chef. Look for her handmade pastries and sweet additions rolling into the cases this week — including beautiful apple hand pies and cream puffs that feel right at home at the Bakehouse.

🍗 And if you haven’t met Chef Rashawn King of King’s Kitchen yet… now’s the time. Her famous Southern Fried Chicken has officially landed at Short Street, available in 8-piece family packs or singles for a quick lunch stop — crispy, seasoned perfectly, and exactly the kind of comfort food you immediately start craving again.

The cold case is stocked, the cinnamon rolls are back, Chef Nicole’s Italian Cream Cake is disappearing faster than we can slice it, and this week’s Chef’s Choice lineup was built for busy evenings, hungry families, and Memorial Day weekends that sneak up on you.

🌺 Summer flowers are also making an appearance, fresh from Underwood Farms — filling the Bakehouse with all the colors and charm Mayfair was meant for. 🌺
