Here is the next one.
Myth #2: “I can save the money

I’ll need for LTC services.”

Fact: Anyone who’s had this thought should stop to consider two crucial questions: How will I save up the money? And (more important), why?

LTC services can be very expensive. The growing costs for care present a huge financial risk to older adults’ retirement dollars. Those who plan to take on the burden of LTC expenses for themselves and/or a spouse or other loved one could wipe out their lifetime savings much faster than they expect.

When planning for long term care, it’s helpful to know the average cost in your state or possibly the state where you’d like to spend your retirement years.

There are low cost ways to fund for LTC expenses, Most people are not buying expensive LTC Insurance and there is no need to today to do so.

Feel free to reach out to me to discuss options. 402-305-6088 Dave's Cell Phone.

First in a series of Long-term care myths:
Myth #1: “A government program will take care of me.”

Fact: Government programs can be difficult to qualify for and have very specific requirements for LTC services. A number of public programs — including Medicare, Medicaid and veterans’ services — may help pay for some LTC services in certain circumstances. Yet, each program has specific rules that define which services are covered, when benefits are paid, who can qualify, and the dollar amounts individuals must pay on their own.

When people are able to qualify for Medicaid and the program pays their LTC costs, there’s a catch. Federal law requires states to recover the money Medicaid spent on their behalf from their estate after they pass away.2 Probate law dictates what states will include in estates.

It’s important to remember that government programs are limited by availability and financial resources.

Did you know?

Federal law requires states to recover the money Medicaid spent on people’s behalf from their estate after they pass away.2

I have been working in the Insurance industry for over 30 years. Some in the Home office and some in the field helping people. When I saw this I thought this might help someone in need. So think about these strategies when your Insurance company denies your claim.
1. Ask the Ins Co for the name of the doctor and the board specialty and license number of the Doctor making the denial and saying the treatment is/was not necessary.
2. Get copies of all the materials they relied on to make their determination.
3. Proof the Doctor making the decision has maintained registration in your specific state and documentation of their meeting all their Continuing Education requirements.
4. Then ask for the aggregate rate at which similar treatments are denied vs approved by the specific Doctor being used for peer review.
You are going to be told that some of this information is not available to you either by law or policy, depending on your state, you are entitled to some of them, so you may need to have your State Insurance Dept step in and help you.
I am being told that this tactic used by Provider Docs has been a very successful strategy.
This could provide the proof you need that the Docs making these determinations might be practicing medicine outside of their scope without proper licensing and qualifications and in areas they are not competent in.
It shows the company may be in violation of a number of regulations and what they see is the Ins Company sometimes just does not want a fight and they will go ahead and reverse their decision. I am told it has worked a number of times.

The Small Business Administration has made things easier than ever before for people who want to buy a successful small business.
For the first time a Buyer, without deep pockets, can ask the Seller to retain a small percentage of the business and the SBA will count that towards a down payment. This provides an opportunity for a relative or maybe a key employee to step into the ownership as the Seller rides off into the sunset.
RPR Business Associates can help you with this business buying process. Call us at 402-305-6088 for a free consultation.

Ukrainian Friend Becomes Social Media Guru for my RPR Business Associates, Inc.

If you own a small business and you are having trouble keeping up with the latest strategies in the digital marketing space. Maybe think about hiring an independent contractor. I was very lucky to be introduced to Olga Mashtakova a few months ago. Kelly Lytle, who works with me on my Ukraine projects, met Olga when she and her daughter Kateryna arrived in Omaha shortly after the war broke out.

Once I learned that Olga had all of the necessary skills associated with Social media and marketing, I knew she would be the perfect person to help me with my social media projects for my business. These projects were being ignored by me for too long. Spending a few hours a week with Olga has made a huge difference. My Twitter account is doing very well now, and the Google Business page (which is so critical) has finally been set up, and clients are finally able to place testimonials about my services there. Plus, my two websites have been redesigned by Olga.

Please feel free to contact me if you want to see if Olga can help you with your Social Media projects at an affordable rate.
