🎯We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a PLC Programmer!🎯
❓Do you have oil & gas production equipment and control systems experience and an Associates or BS Degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of directly transferable experience?
The PLC/ SCADA Programmer is responsible to lead the technical function of PLC system programming. They lead and perform preventive and corrective field I & E technical service on instrumentation controls and electrical equipment such as:
• Loop, pressure, temperature, shut down and alarm systems.
• Transmitters, controllers, recorders, valves, indicators, switches ad fire & gas equipment.
• Distributive control systems, SCADA, gas flow measurement.
• Electrical power distribution and pneumatic panels.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot SCADA system programs (Ladder logic, HMI screens, etc)
- Perform as a project leader from definition to implementation.
- Review all PLC programs prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance with established guidelines.
- Plan programming projects by confirming program objective and specifications.
- Arrange program specifications by confirming logical sequence and flowcharts.
Qualifications:
• Proficient in software design, debugging, development, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of data-modeling terms and concepts.
• Knowledge of system design and testing principles.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity, PLC controls diagnostics and programming.
• Advanced skill with pressure, flow, level, temperature and analytical instruments.
• Knowledge of actuated and control valves, power distribution, MCC and switchgear.
• Comprehensive electrical & electronic diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair platform instrumentation, safety, PLC systems, generator and perform PLC back-up requirements.
• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment required for oil & gas production.
Requirements:
• Experience working in an offshore environment.
• Associates or BS Degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of directly transferable experience.
