Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is typically associated with “acting out”: intense outbursts, visible anger, and highly turbulent relationships.

However, Quiet BPD (“acting in”) looks completely different from the outside because the intense emotional storm is turned entirely inward.

Instead of directing fear, hurt, or anger at others, someone with Quiet BPD directs those feelings at themselves.

Good morning Everybody!!
I'm so surprised to see 3K followers!!

Since Jan, I've been dealing with all these Medicaid changes happening in Florida. At my 5 year renewal, I lost my contract and number, therefore I lost a lot of my clients and therapists. I'm in the process of renewing it but I don't know what the future looks like.

I appreciate all your engagement and I do read all your stuff, it just takes me time, as I'm trying to rebuild my practice.

Thank you so much!!

It’s a strange feeling to look back at your childhood and realize that what you thought was “normal” was actually traumatic.

Finding out I have CPTSD felt like finally getting the manual to a machine I’ve been trying to operate for decades. The pieces are starting to fit, the triggers are starting to make sense, and for the first time, I can see a path toward peace that doesn’t involve “trying harder” to be “normal.”

Follow along if you’re on this journey of unlearning childhood survival tactics.

Mental Health Awareness Month ✨

A page from my diary, Dec 2024:

We've been living together for 3 weeks and I've been splitting off and on as we merge our lives together.

He's 🐝 been cranky for a couple of days, being reactive with my dogs and short in texts. He looked tired and disheveled.

Turns out, he has allergies! But he forgot to update his address with the pharmacy so his medicine delivery is off. I believe he did mention this, but it was pushed to the back of my mind.

Instead my mind went into thinking everything was my fault, "He did all these amazing things for ME! He moved far from work, far from friends. My dogs are chasing his cats. He probably thinks I was a mistake."

How I handled the situation:
1. Kept busy. I distracted myself by unpacking and organizing. I made online purchases to decorate our new home.
2. I had to focus on the fact that NEVER in OUR history together has he misled me. I need to make sure I don't impulsively react.
3. I reminded myself that HE asked ME into his life. If something was wrong, he would tell me. My dogs are part of my package, he needs to learn to deal with them. Just like I need to learn to deal with his cats.

Once I saw his smile after work yesterday and realized he looked different.. "OMG he's been sick this whole time without his meds!" 🤪 It's a constant struggle to remember that it's not personal.

It's Friday and we have an amazing weekend planned.
He's feeling better, I'm feeling better.
It's going to be a good weekend.

My BPD spends all night playing a “Greatest Hits” reel of every possible abandonment scenario, only for my ADHD and Autism to show up at 6:00 AM sharp like, “Okay, the sun is up! Time to follow the exact morning routine and start the 14 tasks we planned!”

The transition from night-time emotional spirals to daytime executive functioning is a wild ride.

Who else is caffeinating through the internal chaos today? ☕️✨

This one time I saw a cute and decided to actually dye my hair. Yeah, no, that was a mistake. It took me 3 months to fix it.

My ADHD writing checks that my Autism can't cash. 💸

One brain wants the novelty of new plans, the other brain just realized that those plans involve shoes, transitions, and small talk. Yeah, no. We're staying home.

Which one is winning for you today?

I'm pretty sure the majority of are neurodivergent children that grew up in the wrong environment.

What disorder did you get?
