πŸŽ‰ Today marks three incredible years since Senior Helpers – South Tacoma opened its doors! πŸ’œ

Over the past three years, we have created countless special memories - far too many to fit into one post - and built so many meaningful relationships. We have grown tremendously, and we continue to grow because of the wonderful families and clients who place their trust in us, the caregivers who pour their hearts into this work, and the community that has supported us along the way.

We truly believe we have the best of the best caregivers. They lead with compassion, go above and beyond for their clients, and genuinely love what they do. We feel incredibly blessed to have such an amazing team.

The last photo is especially meaningful because it was taken on our very first day, during our very first caregiver orientation three years ago from today. Our amazing caregiver Teresia was there that day... and three years later, she is still an important part of our team! Teresia, thank you for believing in us from the beginning and for continuing to provide such compassionate and dedicated care. πŸ’œ

What we have created at Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is truly special. We look forward to continuing to grow, creating more wonderful memories, and extending our care to everyone who needs it.

Thank you to our clients, families, caregivers, referral partners, friends, and community for believing in and supporting us. We could not have come this far without all of you!

Here’s to three amazing years... and many more to come! πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸ’œ

Healthy Aging Tip #5: Keep In Touch with Friends and Family

Social connection is one of the most powerful tools for healthy aging, and it is easy to let it slip. Reach out to a friend, neighbor, or family member you have not spoken to recently. A short conversation can lift both of your days.

Healthy Aging Tip #4: Secure Your Home

Falls are one of the most common and most preventable risks for older adults at home. Secure loose rugs, add nightlights along hallways, install grab bars in the bathroom, and keep walkways clear. Small changes make a real difference in safety and confidence.

Healthy Aging Tip #3: Eat the Rainbow

Healthy eating does not have to be complicated. Focus on variety, especially colorful fruits and vegetables that cover a wide range of nutrients. Rotate what is on your plate every few weeks and pair it with whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat dairy.

Healthy Aging Tip #2: Stay Hydrated

As we age, the body's natural thirst signal becomes less reliable, which makes it easier to become dehydrated without realizing it. Keep a water bottle within reach throughout the day. Add fruit for flavor, or set a reminder if that helps.
