Today we celebrate the incredible Nurse Assessment Coordinators who serve as the backbone of quality care in long-term care facilities.

MDS Coordinators do far more than complete assessments, they help tell the clinical story of each resident. Their work impacts care planning, reimbursement accuracy, regulatory compliance, quality measures, and ultimately the quality of life for the residents they serve every day.

It takes a unique combination of clinical expertise, attention to detail, organization, communication, and compassion to excel in this role. Behind every accurate assessment is a professional advocating for residents, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and navigating an ever-changing regulatory landscape.
The role is often demanding and frequently behind the scenes, but its impact is immeasurable.
