For decades, Curby has been more than a mascot. He's been a familiar face at community events, classrooms, celebrations and countless memories across mid-Michigan.

As we count down to Curby's Touch-a-Truck Extravaganza on September 15, we're looking back at Curby through the years and celebrating the role he's played in our story. Here's to 60 years of service, community involvement and one very recognizable brown cart. 🤎 ♻️

📚✏️ Back-to-school season means busy mornings, school buses and more children outside.

Help keep kids safe by reminding them to: ✅ Stay away from moving garbage trucks ✅ Never stand behind a truck ✅ Watch for backing vehicles ✅ Make sure drivers can see them before getting close

A few simple reminders can make a big difference. 🚛

Kids love garbage trucks and they have a great time interacting with their garbage men and women. They enjoy seeing the truck go by and watching the mechanical arm pick up the cart and get excited when the driver waves and honks the horn. And the feeling is definitely mutual.…
