Stephen Curry is expanding his impact off the court through a new scholarship program with his alma mater, Davidson College, to support underserved Bay Area students.

The Davidson College Curry Scholars Program will provide full scholarships and college support services to 5 to 10 high-achieving students each year, starting with the class of 2027.

In partnership with College Track and Oakland Unified School District, the initiative reflects Curry and his wife Ayesha’s commitment to creating more educational opportunities for Oakland youth.

Brown-Philpot is the Founder and Managing Director of , a venture firm focused on Black and Latinx founders. She was previously a member of the investment committee of Softbank Opportunity Fund, a venture fund for outstanding Black, Latinx, and Native American company founders.

She is also the former CEO of Taskrabbit. She grew up on the west side of Detroit raised by a single mother with her brother. Her mother emphasized education and Stacy took that to heart getting good grades. Learning grit from her mom, she believed in herself, found community and mentors, and kept an open mind. Her story is a lesson and encouragement for all of us at any age.

Dr. Queshonda Kudaisi’s remarkable story is one of resilience and triumph, showing the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. After battling COVID-19 during her pregnancy, Kudaisi not only delivered a healthy baby but also defended her dissertation and earned her PhD, officially becoming Dr. Queshonda Kudaisi.

Despite being seriously ill with pneumonia and fearing for her health and that of her unborn child, Kudaisi pushed forward with her academic goals, ultimately becoming a symbol of success and tenacity. Her achievement speaks to the spirit of modern motherhood, where challenges are met with unwavering commitment, whether in the classroom or in the delivery room.

Kudaisi's story resonates with many who face overwhelming obstacles but refuse to give up on their dreams. It's not just an academic accomplishment—it’s a celebration of resilience, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence, proving that no challenge is too great when you are determined to pursue your passion.
