A Project Spotlight: A little old-school MerCruiser muscle in the shop. 👀

These twin MerCruiser 496 MAGs were pulled for new transom assemblies, the components that connect the engines inside the boat to the sterndrives outside.

The 496 MAG itself is an 8.1L big-block V8 that’s been out of production for years, but plenty of them are still out on the water today.
