Another great Dogtoberfest in the books! Las Vegas Music & Events has been providing pro audio and event consultation for Big Dog's Brewing Company and all of their out door brew festivals for nearly 15 years! This Saturday was amazing! Both Latitude 20 and Double Minor crushed it, as did the Big Dog’s staff. Chef Sergio Meza and his team outdid themselves again. Lee Canyon’s Mountain Fest returns on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Join us for a full day of live music, vendor row, food trucks, beer garden, downhill mountain biking, scenic chair rides and plenty of fun activities for the whole family! Escape the hot weather in town and enjoy the high mountain fresh air, tasty food, ice-cold beer and cool temperatures.

AN OP-ED...

I've attended and worked more than a decade's worth of NAMM show's in Anaheim. The hang is always brilliant, weather usually is pretty good, and overall NAMM is a good time. Recent years have seen top tier brands such as Gibson, Fender, PRS, and others opt out, only to recently revisit on a much smaller scale, if at all. The show needs a shot in the arm and some new life. I'd like to proffer the idea of moving this convention to Las Vegas, where it can really shine.

We understand this show, and trade-shows in general are a means to connect with dealers and stakeholders on an organic level. A big part of the NAMM experience, however, is the after-hours performances, dinner parties, cocktail receptions and social networking.

Anaheim, while a lovely city, is severely limited in this capacity. Ride Shares are a nightmare, and if you're fortunate to get a $900 hotel room within 6 miles of ACC at a decent rate, 9 months in advance, you're doing well. Many end up in the sticks in Fullerton, or worse; while an inordinate number of 50+ men with bad backs are sharing rooms and dingy bathrooms at the Peter Pan Inn; and enjoying a complimentary Sunny Delight and 3 day old bagels for breakfast..

Las Vegas is designed to handle every aspect of entertainment, with world class hospitality. The airport is 5 mins from the Strip. It could really help bring NAMM to the next level. It's just a thought, but perhaps disenchanted brands may once again see value in jumping back into a new and reinvigorating NAMM experience.
