Ok so we all know we are under a social distancing for a bit and now we have time to organize a few important items. Why not go through those email boxes? Maybe organize for taxes if you haven’t already. Perhaps prepare a new marketing plan for the time after this. Whatever you decide to do, don’t be hard on yourself and focus on your health first.

SUCCESS TIP #1: SUCCESS & MINDSET

Success and mindset go together! I start with the importance of your mindset to success because without the right mindset the road to success will be difficult.

For me, this means a positive mindset. You cannot have a positive life – or be or feel successful – with a negative mind.

The Importance of Choosing And Practicing A Positive Mindset
This is easier said than done and something that must be chosen and practiced every day. Sometimes under difficult circumstances.

We have all been through difficult and painful situations in life. But, we must choose to be positive in spite of these if we want success.
Tips To Keeping A Positive Mindset
Here are some things that have helped me to continue to keep a positive mindset in spite of life.

Forgiveness – This is not for those that need forgiveness but for me, so I can move on. If not I become their prisoner.

Toxic & Negative People – I avoid them as much as possible even if they are family. My mindset is too sacred to allow theirs to affect mine. I detach with love.

Nature – Spending time in nature and getting fresh air always makes me feel better. When things get rough I head to the beach and this helps me reset.

Positive People – I seek them out and befriend them whenever I can.

Successful People – I don’t mean rich, I mean people who are happy with what they do and enjoy life. If they are rich that’s cool as long as they are happy too.

Philanthropists – People that give back with their time, work or money. I love these type of people. They inspire me.

A Higher Power – For me this is God. And, this helps me remember that there is a power greater than me to guide me on my journey.

Karma – I believe that when you do good, good will come to you.

R & R – Rest and Relaxation have always been a priority for me so that I can maintain my positive mindset.

Rewards – I give myself rewards when I have achieved goals. This helps reinforce my positive mindset.

So as mentioned at the start, success and mindset truly do go hand-in-hand.

SUCCESS TIP #6: SUCCESS AND VISUALIZATION

Visualization and Success is the 6th step to success and has been an important part of my journey. I have always visualized what I wanted.

- To hit my first six-figure income by the age of 30. I achieved this goal at age 33.
- To live on the beach. I have owned a townhouse and condo on the ocean.
- To have an office on the beach. My office was across the street from the beach for 5 years.
- To meet someone who was kind, loving and successful. My husband is all these things.
- To stop drinking. I am sober now and celebrating 10 years of sobriety in September.

Success, Visualization And Work

Now it’s important to point out that visualization is more than just thinking about your goals! You also need to put in the work to achieve your goals. As the saying goes, “the only place that success comes before work is in the dictionary.” When it comes to success and visualization, visualization is important for the mind to be able to focus on the task you are working to achieve. What we believe we can achieve. Have I achieved all of my goals? Of course not. Like everyone, I am a work in progress. I have had many setbacks in life and even had dreams shattered. It’s all a part of the process. When in doubt I go back to success tip #1 Mindset. I focus on being positive and surrounding myself with great people. Is my life perfect? Heck no. I have troubles and challenges like everyone else. I just want you to know that when you visualize what you want, the universe conspires to help you! 😉
