Happy Father’s Day from the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company! 🚒

Today we celebrate all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and father figures who lead by example, serve their families, and strengthen our community.

We are especially grateful for the dads who answer the call, whether responding to emergencies, supporting community events, or volunteering behind the scenes. Your dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to serving others make a difference every day.

Thank you for all that you do at home, at work, and in our community.

From all of us at Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company, we wish you a safe and happy Father’s Day.

June 10. Station 10. Unit 610.

Today is 6/10, a number that means a little more to us in Lucketts.

For 66 years, volunteers have served this community from Station 10. Today, our operational members continue that tradition by supporting and augmenting the career staff assigned to Engine 610, Tanker 610, Ambulance 610, and cross-staffed Swift Water 610 and Brush 610.

In addition, volunteer members staff REHAB Support 610, Incident Support Unit 610, and EMSUTV 610 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, helping sustain emergency operations across Loudoun County and ensuring our first responders have the resources they need to safely and effectively serve our community.

From our original two-bay firehouse to today’s state-of-the-art station, one thing hasn’t changed: neighbors serving neighbors.

Happy 6/10 from the members of the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company.

Last night, the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company Support Services Unit conducted our “Station Sustain – River Surge 2026” Functional Exercise focused on multi-site support operations during a simulated large-scale Potomac River rescue incident.

Members operated simultaneously at McKimmey’s Landing Boat Ramp and Piscataway Crossing Regional Park, deploying REHABSU610, U610C, ISU610, and EMSUTV610 to test:
• Rehab and responder support operations
• Multi-site coordination
• Communications and ICS integration
• Lighting and generator operations
• Logistics and sustainment
• Accountability and operational adaptability

The exercise included real-world weather challenges, operational injects, equipment issues, and responder medical scenarios designed to strengthen our readiness for extended-duration incidents.

Huge thank you to all of the members who participated and helped make the drill a success.

And sometimes training gives you a reminder of why we do this. ending the evening under a full rainbow over the incident support trailer wasn’t a bad way to wrap up the night.

Today, we remember and honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer, it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who never made it home.

The members of the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company extend our deepest respect to the fallen, their families, and all who continue to serve our communities and country.

As you spend time with family and friends today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

🇺🇸 We remember the fallen. We honor their sacrifice. 🇺🇸
