This week we’re featuring McKenzie Gomez, Owner & Director of Lone Star Performance Academy. McKenzie owns and operates a local dance studio that truly feels like a home away from home for dancers and their families.

She teaches jazz/lyrical (ages 5–7), ballet/tap (ages 3–4), and baton twirling for all ages, offering a more personal, laid-back experience where students don’t get lost in the crowd. McKenzie works directly with parents to help them find the perfect class for their child and creates a space where students can step away from everyday stress and simply have fun for an hour.

Fun fact: McKenzie has been twirling since she was 2 years old! She was a Feature Twirler at the University of Arkansas, a 2025 Team USA member, and is a third-generation baton twirler✨

She works with first-time homebuyers, current homeowners, investors, veterans, doctor loan programs, and jumbo loan buyers, offering personalized strategies and education so clients feel confident in their decisions. Her focus is on clear communication, smart planning, and making the loan process as smooth as possible.
