I had the privilege of sponsoring and participating in the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department Local 2986 Annual Bags Tournament this past Friday!

It was a great event and a lot of fun-even though my team got our butts kicked! 😂

Best of all, the proceeds from the tournament are going to help support a wonderful local family in need. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be a small part of such a great event and an even better cause!

Village of Lisle announces the start of demolition work on the long-vacant former strip mall property in downtown Lisle. This work marks a major milestone in the community’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its downtown. Demolition follows the acquisition of the property in August 2025 by private developer Flaherty & Collins Properties. Since taking ownership, the developer completed asbestos remediation over the winter months, preparing the site for safe and efficient demolition.

🌪️ILLINOIS TORNADOES: The Land of Lincoln has surpassed the YEARLY average of 66 tornadoes by a lot. Based on my county, 91 tornadoes have been confirmed across the state through April 20th, with surveys ongoing (meaning that count could go up).

All data is preliminary, but there have been more than 400 tornadoes so far this year across the US, and Illinois has had more tornadoes than any other state so far in 2026.

Iowa has been less active, with 18 tornadoes, so far.

Important to note: Technology over the last decade has really improved, giving meteorologist and researchers more tools to detect tornadoes on radar, and via satellite.
