🎉📚 It’s officially Amir the Affirmation King’s last day of Kindergarten!

This year has been filled with so much learning, growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Watching Amir grow in confidence, kindness, and curiosity has been one of my greatest joys.

As he heads into summer, we’re celebrating all that he has accomplished and all the amazing things still to come.

Before a man can heal, he has to be a boy who was taught that his feelings matter. Black boys deserve to be taught that their feelings matter from a very young age!

Amir “The Affirmation King” is in new homes after yesterday! 👑📚
The Black Children’s Book Festival, put on by and my girl , was nothing short of amazing! Yesterday proved exactly why Black children deserve to see themselves represented in the books they read.
I’m truly honored to be a part of such an incredible group of authors writing books for our children and pouring into the next generation. Representation matters, and yesterday was a beautiful reminder of the power of our stories. ✊🏾❤️

Join me on Sunday, May 24th from 12PM–3PM at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall, where I’ll be doing a special reading of *I Know I Can Too* at 2PM! Come meet me, grab a signed copy of my book, and celebrate the magic of Black storytelling alongside an incredible lineup of Black authors.
