They’re here! Palisade peaches have arrived at Mariposa Farm!

After a tough spring freeze season had Coloradans wondering if peach season would happen, we’re thrilled to have our first Palisade peaches of the year.

They’re sweet, fragrant, and available this weekend:
🍑 By the pound — for snacking, baking, or canning
🍑 By the flat — for jam, cobbler, and freezer stash

Quantities are tighter than usual this year, so come early. We'll give updates each week as the season continues.

Come by Mariposa Farm at 66th & St. Vrain - home to Suarez Market this Sunday from 10 AM–4 PM for our signature handmade empanadas in Peach-Cardamom, Strawberry-Hibiscus, and Apple-Cinnamon. We’ll have Colorado cherries, rhubarb, and Longmont’s Rocky Mountain Fresh hydroponic heirloom tomatoes — plus salsa-making ingredients including fresh and roasted tomatillos, habanero peppers, and frozen green chile. And, large cilantro starts.
For roasting, look for our large sweet golden beets — perfect with a little Bjorn honey and our Market Spice Rub.

Cold, wet May? It’s exactly what we need!!

But, that’s exactly why we wait until May 30–31 to release our 1-gallon heirloom tomato plants.

Here in Boulder County, we know how tempting it is to get tomatoes in the ground early — warm days tease you into it. But, we hear it every summer: "My tomatoes are just sitting there" or "they never really took off...can you help?"

I say YES, and here's why. Tomatoes planted into cold, wet soil stall out before they ever get going. Soil temps need to hit 60–65°F, and nighttime lows need to stay above 50°F consistently. We're not there yet — and that's okay.
