Today is our 11th wedding anniversary. 🥳

Somewhere along the way, our life together also became a life of creating side by side. I introduced Jay to jewelry, and over time, he began developing a language entirely his own-structural, geometric, and architectural. That language eventually became HIDDENSPACE.

Le Conte and HIDDENSPACE may look like two completely different worlds-brushstrokes and geometry-but they have grown under the same roof, through the same years, conversations, risks, and dreams.

For our anniversary, I wanted to share a little more of our story, and the story behind the two brands we quietly built alongside each other.

Happy 11th anniversary, Jay. 💜
The story of HIDDENSPACE & Le Conte is now on the blog.

POV: Trust me.

If she loves Impressionist art,
she’ll notice the brushstrokes.
she’ll see the craftsmanship.
she’ll feel the story.
We know how to make jewelry that feels like art.

💜Hi, I’m Eunmi.
This was my profile photo for Le Conte’s re-launch on August 1, 2022, after two years of preparation.

Come take a little trip back in time with me. ✨
Swipe left to see where it all began-from my early days to discovering jewelry, and how fine art became the foundation of everything I create.

💜Do you remember this invitation?

Four years ago, we opened the doors to our Le Conte gallery after two years of preparation.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been four years.

Since then, Le Conte has found wonderful homes across the U.S.:

• Alara (MT)
• Audry Rose (UT)
• So Gold (NY)
• ORO (OR)
• The Golden Carrot (NC)
• We Are Ver (DC)
• Universal Deco (CO)
• Beyond Two Rings (CA)
• Dime & Regal (MI)
• Local Eclectic (IL)

Every new stockist has helped my work reach people I may never have met otherwise, and I’m so grateful for every opportunity.

I hope to meet even more of you in new places in the years to come. ♡

💜This is little me. 😊

If you had told me then that I’d become a jewelry artist in Los Angeles, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

I grew up in South Korea, and that part of me still lives in everything I create.

It’s amazing that, even though we come from different backgrounds and speak different languages, we can still understand each other through art. ♡

💜Cool girls have cool jobs. 😎
I even know how to weld!

I studied metalsmithing at Seoul National University of Science and Technology in South Korea, and in 2012, I moved to the U.S. to pursue my MFA in Metals and Jewelry Design at RIT.

School was so much fun. I loved staying in the studio all night- even when I went home with black dust under my nose after hours of working.

Sometimes, I miss welding, grinding, and making big, messy things with my hands

💜These are some of my undergraduate and MFA works.

At the time, I was completely immersed in the world of art jewelry.

I spent those years exploring, questioning, and learning-trying to understand what jewelry could be beyond something simply worn.

That curiosity has never really left me. ♡

💜I used to teach jewelry, too.

After graduating, the very first person I ever taught outside of school was my husband.
