Calling all L.A. based volunteer managers! Come join the DOVIA-LA Community for our September Member Meeting on September 18th🎉

The meeting will take place from 1:00pm-3:00pm! You can join in-person, or virtually, at The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens🪴

We will begin with a presentation by our own Kate Ekman, CVA, Director of Community Impact at L.A. Works, “L.A. Fires 2025: Mobilizing Volunteers in Disaster & Ways to Prepare Your Volunteer Program”.

Following the training, guests will have the opportunity to network with one another!

DOVIA-LA July Meeting Recap 🎉

During our July Meeting, our attendees focused on training volunteers to lead volunteers in a presentation by Betsy Storm.

After the presentation, they were given the opportunity to network with one another in an activity lead by the DOVIA-LA team. This allowed our guests to expand their network and get to know each other!

Thank you to everyone who came and helped make this meeting a success! We are so excited to see you all for our FINAL meeting of the year on September 18th from 1-3PM at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens!

Your time and commitment to helping put together such a successful May meeting is extremely appreciated! Not only did you host us at the Audubon Center, you also gave a presentation and led our members through a tour of the center after! 🐛🦋

Last week, we held our DOVIA-LA May Member meeting at the 🐛🦋

During the meeting, we held a watch party of Meghan Maloney’s Webinar ‘Charity to Solidarity - Auditing Your Volunteer Program” and heard from Evelyn Serrano and He Sung Im on the Audubon Center’s Community Science and how to keep volunteers engaged!

Following the meeting, our in-person attendees were led through a tour of the Audubon Center and got to learn more about their Monarch Project 🦋

Thank you to everyone who came and helped plan such a successful meeting 🎉
