🚨 WE’RE HIRING: FIELD SUPERVISOR | Starting at $25/HR + COMMISSION 🚨

Are you the person people turn to when something needs to get organized, fixed, or handled?

Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife is looking for a Field Supervisor to help lead, train, and develop our growing technician team.

Pest control experience is NOT required — we can teach you that. What we need is someone with previous supervisory or management experience who knows how to lead people, coach employees, hold standards, and keep a team moving in the right direction.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll help train new hires, provide continuous coaching, conduct QC checks, support technicians in the field, oversee vehicles and equipment, and run a reduced route of your own.

You won’t spend all day behind a desk, and you won’t spend all day running a route. Your focus is helping make sure our technicians are prepared, trained, accountable, and doing quality work.

If you’re the kind of person who sees a team and immediately starts thinking about how to make it stronger, we want to talk to you.

Come help us build the next generation of Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife.

🐜 When the ants show up uninvited… you might as well put them to work.

We recently had some damaged termite stations brought into the shop, and they came with a few extra passengers—odorous house ants.

Instead of immediately getting rid of them, we saw an opportunity.

Why not do a little product research of our own and let the ants tell us what they prefer?

We lined up several different professional bait options, along with some good old-fashioned sugar and coffee, and started watching.

Advance 375 got the first visit.
SureKill was the first gel they checked out.
Invict AB Insect Paste came in third.

Meanwhile, Niban, Maxforce Fleet, Maxforce Quantum, Intice, Lava-Lor, and the other options were still waiting for some attention.

And that’s where this gets interesting.

This little experiment isn’t meant to declare one product the universal “winner.” Odorous house ants can change their feeding preferences, and conditions, placement, available food sources, and other factors can all influence what they accept.

That’s exactly why professional pest control isn’t just about grabbing a product and spraying bugs.

We observe. We test. We learn. And we use that information to make better decisions in the field.

Most people would have looked at those ants and seen another pest to kill.

We saw an opportunity to learn something.

And naturally… we made a music video about it. 😂🎵🐜

Got ants that keep coming back? Killing the ones you see may only be scratching the surface. Let’s figure out what’s actually happening.

Raccoons don’t need a wide-open hole—they just need one weak spot.

Water damage had softened the wood beneath this soffit, giving raccoons an easy path into the attic and a place to make themselves at home.

We removed the raccoons, repaired the damaged area, and reinforced the entry point with sheet metal to help prevent them from getting back in. Then we finished it cleanly so the repair looks almost like nothing ever happened.

Removing the animal is only half the job. Professional exclusion is what protects the home long-term.

Hearing scratching, thumping, or movement in your attic? Call us today and let’s find out how they’re getting in.

Late summer is usually when yellow jackets become the most noticeable—and the most defensive.

Their colonies are at their largest, and they’re working harder to find food before cold weather arrives. That’s why you may see more of them around trash cans, sweet drinks, fruit, cookouts, and outdoor dining areas.

They’re also quick to defend a nest if mowing, trimming, digging, or other yard work gets too close.

Keep food and drinks covered, clean up spills, secure your trash, and avoid swatting at them. If you notice several yellow jackets flying in and out of the same hole in the ground, siding, or roofline, give the area some space and don’t plug the opening.

They aren’t being mean—it’s just normal late-summer behavior. Still, a nest near a doorway, play area, or busy part of the yard should be handled by a professional.
