We had the pleasure of helping a neighbor in Louisville secure their home this week! We installed custom-fit gable vent covers to keep curious local wildlife out of the attic while ensuring the house stays properly ventilated. It is all about giving our community members peace of mind knowing their home is protected and breathing easy. Do you have concerns about pests finding their way into your attic? Reach out to the team here at Tailor Made Pest Control—we are happy to help you keep your home secure.

We recently had the opportunity to help a Louisville neighbor secure their home against unwanted visitors! Our team at Tailor Made Pest Control performed a full garage door sweep installation using durable Rodexit materials to seal up those pesky gaps. We also set up professional-grade bait stations around the perimeter to add an extra layer of defense. Taking these proactive steps is such an effective way to keep your garage and home clean and pest-free. If you are noticing any gaps around your doors, let us know—we are here to help keep your space secure!

Someone’s already wearing their Halloween costume! 🎃🪲

We spotted this flashy little visitor on a route today! It appears to be a locust borer beetle, sporting yellow-and-black markings that mimic a wasp and help discourage hungry predators. Talk about dressing for survival! 😎

These beetles have an interesting double life: adults snack on pollen and nectar from flowers like goldenrod, while their larvae tunnel inside black locust trees, potentially weakening trunks and branches. Their signature fashion accessory? A yellow “W” pattern across their back!

At Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife, every route is a chance to discover something fascinating. Knowing your bugs is where good pest management starts! 🔍

Would this little beetle have fooled you with its wasp costume? 👀

🎃🕷️ Have the spiders already decorated your house for Halloween?

A few spooky decorations are fun—but walking face-first into a real web on your porch? That’s a scare nobody ordered! 😂

Before the trick-or-treaters arrive, brush away unwanted webs around doorways, porch corners, and reachable eaves. Use a long-handled web brush and keep your feet safely on the ground. Repair damaged screens and seal gaps around doors and windows to help keep wandering spiders outside.

🍬 And once the candy comes home, keep pests from joining the feast:

• Seal the sweets. Store candy in tightly closed glass or sturdy plastic containers instead of leaving it in open trick-or-treat buckets.
• Check the wrappers. Look for holes, damage, or signs of insects, and discard anything infested.
• Clean up the evidence. Wipe up sticky spills and crumbs, and toss empty wrappers promptly.
• Check the stash. Don’t let forgotten candy sit in bedrooms, backpacks, or pantry corners for months.

Have a sweet—and spooky—Halloween! 👻🍫

Repaired, painted to match, and closed to unwanted guests! 🏡🦝

We fixed this damaged soffit and painted the repair to blend in with the home—closing off an entry point animals could use to get inside.

Small openings can lead to big problems. Notice damaged soffits or gaps around your roofline? Give Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife a call!

🎉 Celebrating 5 years of Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife! 🎉

This morning, our team surprised our owner, Christian, with a party to celebrate five years in business—complete with food, cake, thoughtful gifts, and plenty of smiles! ❤️🖤

Since opening in October 2021, we’ve had the privilege of helping our neighbors protect their homes and businesses. Every customer who trusted us, recommended us, or supported us along the way has helped make this milestone possible.

And to our team: thank you for the hard work, care, and dedication you bring every day. The thought you put into this morning’s celebration means so much, and we’re proud to celebrate the business you help build.

From all of us at Tailor Made, thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to many more years of serving our community together! 🥂

Mom is on the move! 🦝🏡

Our trail camera captured this mama raccoon carrying her baby out! Raccoon eviction fluid uses scent to help encourage a mother to move her young to another den.

The follow-through matters: monitor activity, confirm mom and ALL her babies have left, then seal the entry points to prevent another unwanted tenant.

Hearing noises in your attic? Message Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife—we’ll help you figure out who’s moved in!

Squirrels are cute… until they chew their way into your attic! 🐿️🏠

Here I am setting a trap for an unwanted houseguest. They might love the accommodations, but this attic isn’t accepting tenants! 😂

Hearing scratching overhead? Give Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife a call. 💚

The pest is unidentified, the entry point is a mystery… but the price has already been determined. 😂🐜

A little pest control humor! Behind every service are training, experience, equipment, and the detective work it takes to figure out what’s happening and how to address it.

We understand budgets matter. That’s why we take the time to explain what we find, what we recommend, and why. 🏡🔍

Raccoons can leave quite a mess behind! 🦝🔧

For this damaged soffit, we measured the opening, fitted and secured sheet metal, then used paint provided by the customer to help the repair blend with their home’s existing finish.

The details matter—from how the metal fits to how the finished repair looks. That’s the care we bring to our work at Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife. 🏡
