Getting some press in the local Lockport Paper! Highfield Boats North America

A motor boating duo passed through the Erie Canal’s Flight of Five locks this morning on their attempt to break the time record for the Great Loop, a waterway tour of eastern North America. Dustin Kidd (pictured leaving Middleport) and Marc Crutcher, both of Louisville, Kentucky, will enter the Great Lakes leg of their journey Tuesday, heading west to Chicago. They will pass through North Tonawanda on their boat White Lightning on Tuesday afternoon.

Update from last night, the crew of the Highfield SP800 White Lightning slowed their pace due to speed requiremants in the canal and could only do 10mph for 100 miles but are still ahead of the record so far by 13hrs.
