This mouthwatering take on panzanella salad was inspired by the juicy fruit flavors of our 2025 Jose’s Rose! It’s packed full of fresh summer flavors that perfectly complement the watermelon and strawberry notes found in Jose’s Rose.
This salad is fresh, juicy and perfect for enjoying on a summer day with a glass of Rose!
Jose’s Rose Panzanella Salad
Ingredients:
½ baguette
3 tbsp. Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1-pint strawberries, sliced
3 cups watermelon, cubed
½ English cucumber, cubed
¼ cup fresh basil, shredded
Vinaigrette (we used Basil Vinaigrette)
Feta Cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut baguette into small cubes and combine with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Toss to combine. Spread baguette cubes evenly on baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until bread is golden brown and crunchy. Let cool.
Combine strawberries, watermelon, English cucumber and cooled bread in a bowl and mix together. Top with your choice of vinaigrette (we used a basil vinaigrette) and stir to combine. Cover and allow salad to sit for half hour (you want bread to absorb the dressing and fruit flavors without getting soggy).
Plate salad and top with basil and feta cheese, serve immediately. Pair with CRU Winery 2025 Jose’s Rose.
