We have some BIG news to share! 🐾❤️

Schmidt’s Auto has officially collected 88,000 POUNDS of scrap for our Scrap for Shelter fundraiser benefiting the Dane County Humane Society!

We are absolutely blown away by the support from our community. And now we have a new goal:

🎯 100,000 POUNDS!

We are only 12,000 pounds away from reaching our goal, and we are doing everything we can to get there!

If you have anything made of metal that you were planning to throw away or take to the landfill, please consider bringing it to Schmidt’s instead. Old metal, scrap from a garage cleanout, unwanted equipment, metal parts, or anything else you’re unsure about—give us a call and ask!

Instead of ending up in a landfill, your unwanted metal can help provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances for animals in need. 🐶🐱

🚨 WOW, OUR COMMUNITY IS SHOWING UP! 🚨

We have officially filled FOUR containers for our Scrap for Shelter fundraiser! 🥹❤️♻️

We cannot thank everyone enough for stepping up, cleaning out their garages, donating their scrap, and helping us turn unwanted metal into something that will make a real difference for local animals. 🐾

And the best part? We still have 20 days left in the month! 🙌

We had an expected goal going into this fundraiser, but because of YOU, we’re already on track to blow those expectations out of the water. Let’s keep it going and see just how much we can accomplish together!

This August, Schmidt’s Auto is proud to partner with the Dane County Humane Society for our very first Scrap for Shelter fundraiser!

From August 1st through August 31st, bring your unwanted scrap metal to either Schmidt’s location, and 100% of the scrap proceeds will be donated to the Dane County Humane Society to help provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances for animals in need.

Whether you’re cleaning out your garage, basement, shed, barn, or workshop, every piece of scrap makes a difference!
