We are offering a Small Business Lunch & Learn: AI at Work: Smarter Communication Without Losing Human Judgment on Tuesday, September 8 at noon at the Chamber, 501 Poyntz Ave.

This practical workshop helps small and midsized businesses thoughtfully evaluate how AI tools may support workplace communication, efficiency, and workflow while maintaining human judgment and professional accountability. Participants will explore real-world applications for AI, including drafting emails, brainstorming ideas, organizing information, and supporting customer communication, while also considering where AI may be less useful or appropriate. The session emphasizes critical evaluation rather than unquestioning adoption, helping participants understand both the benefits and limitations of AI-generated content. Attendees will leave with practical strategies for assessing when, how, and why AI tools may be valuable within their own organizations.

Developing Leaders in Our Community
We have a lot of great people and organizations doing good work, and we want to make it easier for more people to find their place and get involved. Leadership Manhattan is one of the programs that helps us do that. The program brings together individuals from across our community for a closer look at the people, organizations, and issues that make Manhattan and Riley County what they are today. If you know someone who would make a great addition to the 2027 class, nominate them today!

We have a few more opportunities for you to help shape the Chamber's 2027 legislative priorities by participating in our new Policy Workshops. These interactive, drop-in discussions allow members to identify key issues, explore policy solutions, and provide direction for the Chamber's advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. Attend one session or several, if an issue impacts your business, your employees, or our community, your voice belongs in the conversation.

This is a member only event, and an opportunity for Chamber members to actively participate in the policy making process.

Supporting local is about more than where you shop. ❤️

It's the haircut you schedule. The groomer or vet who takes care of your pup. The person you call when something needs to be fixed.

Local businesses are part of everyday life in our community. Whenever you have a choice, think local first. 🛍️
