It's termite swarming season yall, if you think you may have a termite issue, call All Service for a free inspection! Here's what to look out for:
Subterranean termites are sneaky because they live underground or inside wood, so the damage often shows up before you ever see the insects. Here are the most common signs to watch for:
1. Mud Tubes
Pencil-thin tunnels made of dirt and saliva
Usually found along foundations, walls, crawl spaces, or beams
They use these to travel while staying moist
2. Hollow or Damaged Wood
Wood sounds hollow when you tap it
May look normal on the outside but be eaten from the inside
Can appear blistered or darkened
3. Swarmers (Flying Termites)
Winged termites appear, especially in spring
Often mistaken for flying ants
They’re looking to start new colonies
4. Discarded Wings
Small piles of identical wings near windowsills, doors, or lights
A sign that swarmers have landed and shed their wings
5. Frass (Termite Droppings)
Subterranean termites don’t usually leave visible pellets like drywood termites
Instead, they use droppings to build mud tubes, so you may not see loose debris
6. Tight-Fitting Doors or Windows
Moisture from termite activity can warp wood
Doors/windows suddenly harder to open or close
7. Bubbling or Peeling Paint
Can look like water damage
Often hides tunnels just beneath the surface
