In any kind of healing work, being fully present with the human being in front of you is much harder than it seems. It takes clarity, tremendous focus, the ability to calm your own internal world, and to set aside the countless distractions that are fighting for central stage in your own mind.
And yet, to me - it is the ability to do exactly that, that matters more than almost anything else we bring to the work.
