All are invited to join the City of Monett, Monett Cares, and the Monett Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Monett Community Garden on Bridle Lane. Monett Cares volunteers have been working for the past several weeks to revitalize the community garden. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the Community Garden.

The City of Monett, EZ Dock, the Southwest Missouri Wild Game Feed, and the Monett Area Chamber of Commerce invite all to celebrate the installation of a new fishing dock at the Monett South Park Pond at 4 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2026.
Crews with Playpower completed the installation of an EZ Dock at the Monett South Park pond Monday, May 4, 2026.
The EZ dock was donated to the City of Monett by EZ Dock and the Southwest Missouri Game Feed to serve as a permanent fixture at the South Park Pond.
For several years, a temporary EZ Dock has been a feature of the Southwest Missouri Wild Game Feed Kids Fishing Day. With this donation, all will be able to enjoy the dock year-round.
Kids Fishing Day, which officially kicks off the fishing season at the South Park Pond, is scheduled for 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 30, 2026. The pond is open for fishing for children 15 years-old and younger from May 30 through December 31 each year.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the EZ Dock is being planned for later this month.
