Thank you, to everyone who came out to our meet and greet, sent warm welcomes and has opened their arms to me this first few days in office.

When we moved to Monett I knew this town was special and fell in love with it quickly! Today it just feels like this is home.

I know our path to Monett was no detour but ordained steps for a great reason. Through our journey it has prepared me for the days ahead as I get the honor and chance to serve Monett through the Chamber.

I look forward to all the task ahead to help build a town you too will continue to be proud to live in and many newcomers will settle in quickly to call the home they love!

Like they say “Home is where the heart is!” and I am putting my heart into Monett to serve daily.

Please join us in giving a warm Monett welcome to Cheryl Caraway, the new Executive Director of the Monett Area Chamber of Commerce!

A longtime Monett resident and an active part of our community, Cheryl brings a heart for people, a passion for community, and plenty of experience in building relationships, coordinating projects, planning events, and serving others.

We’re excited to have her step into this role and look forward to all that’s ahead! Cheryl will be working alongside Interim Executive Director Suzy McElmurry during the transition to ensure a smooth handoff.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve the Monett community in this capacity,” Cheryl shared. “I am excited to meet more of the people who make Monett what it is, to learn from our community, and to work together toward a strong future for Monett.”
