Saturday was a beautiful, busy fall day for Monroe Rural Fire District!

We were grateful to be invited to Culver’s for Community Night Out, alongside the Monroe Police Department. Thank you to Culver’s and Monroe PD for the invitation and for giving us the opportunity to connect with our community!

Monroe Rural Fire District is grateful for every opportunity to get out, connect with residents both inside and outside of our fire district.

Also on Saturday, Monroe Rural Fire District assisted Juda Fire Department with a combine fire. We responded with an engine and a tender with 8 firefighters.

The Monroe Rural Fire District is accepting bids for removal of concrete and replacement. During last Monday night’s training, Monroe Rural firefighters focused on hose deployments using our soon to be new hose load the minuteman, along with advancing hose lines both outside and inside the structure. We also had the opportunity to focus more on roof operations, including ladder placements and cutting ventilation holes in the roof.

Having the opportunity to train on an actual structure is one of the best ways for Monroe Rural firefighters to prepare for real emergencies. It allows us to practice our skills, work together as a team, identify and correct problems, and build confidence before we have to do it on a real emergency call.

Monroe Rural firefighters stay trained, prepared, and ready to serve the Townships of Clarno & Monroe and surrounding communities.

What an amazing day Sunday, October 4th was! The weather was perfect, people kept piling in, and there were smiles everywhere from our guests.

Monroe Rural Fire District is extremely grateful for how amazing our community is! From all the residents we serve in the Townships of Clarno & Monroe and the surrounding communities, thank you for making our 6th Annual Pancake Breakfast our biggest one yet!

With a few new things for everyone to enjoy, we were thrilled to serve around 900 people throughout the morning! Our Silent Auction was also a huge success, with nearly 60 items donated!

Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, supported us, and helped make this day so special!

Special thank you to Green County Humane Society and Dane's Lemonade Stand for joining us too!

The Monroe Rural Fire District 6th Annual Pancake Breakfast is happening Sunday, October 4th, and we can’t wait to see everyone!

Our Monroe Rural Firefighters have been busy getting everything prepared and the station cleaned up. Just a few final touches in the morning, and we’ll be ready to welcome our amazing community!

We have SO much new this year, 50+ silent auction items to bid on! 🎉

🥞🚒 Our 6th Annual Pancake Breakfast is just around the corner! Here’s some important information about the drive-thru route and parking for dine-in!

* Can’t make it inside? A drive-thru option will be available! Keep in mind that using the drive-thru will make it harder to check out the silent auction or participate in the other activities happening inside and outside the station.

* Please take a look at the two maps below showing the drive-thru route and the two designated parking locations for dine-in. There will be signs to follow!

* Handicap parking will be available in a small area at the station. There will ONLY be handicap spots available at the station. All other parking will be on W 8th Street or at Colony Brands Design Center (old Walmart) for a free shuttle to the station.

With our 6th Annual Pancake Breakfast less than 2 weeks away, we would like to share more information for October 4th! 🥞🚒

•This year, the Green County Humane Society will be at our Pancake Breakfast with adoptable animals for you to hang out with! Maybe you’ll find a pet you want to take home!

•You may be wondering, where do your donations go? This year, donations will go toward purchasing a forcible entry training door. This training door will give our firefighters valuable hands-on experience and help us become better prepared to safely and effectively force entry during structure fires and other emergencies.

•What’s for breakfast? We will be serving pancakes, sausage, and eggs for the main course, with cheese and applesauce on the side. Drinks will include water, milk, juice, and coffee.

•In the very near future, we will have more information posted about the drive-through route and locations to park for dine-in!
