Excellent presentation this morning at BNI Ascend from our featured speaker, Nancy Wagnor with Wagner Law LLC!

Nancy shared valuable information on estate planning, probate, wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and what can happen when families don’t have a proper plan in place.

Wagner Law LLC is a boutique law firm in Mason serving families and small businesses throughout Warren County and the greater Cincinnati area. Nancy works with clients on customized estate plans, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, special needs planning, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, long-term care planning, probate administration, guardianships, and elder law matters.

One of my biggest takeaways from today: having a will is important, but understanding how your assets are titled and how your beneficiaries are designated is just as important.

Great presentation today by Brian Woods with Allstate Insurance!

One thing that really stood out to me was the importance of having life insurance and not waiting until later in life to think about it. I wish I could tell every young person to look into life insurance while they’re young and healthy, it can be much more affordable than waiting until you’re older.

Brian also shared that 102 million Americans either have no life insurance or don’t have enough coverage. That’s a pretty eye-opening number.

If you know someone who recently got married, had a baby, bought a home, changed jobs, is self-employed, or simply hasn’t reviewed their life insurance in a while, Brian would be a great person to connect them with.

Featured Speaker Spotlight: Alica McShaw Residential Real Estate, Coldwell Banker Realty

Today we heard from Alica McShaw with Coldwell Banker Realty. Alica challenged us to become “Real Estate Referral Detectives” by listening for the clues people naturally share in everyday conversations.

Her message was simple: the best referrals don’t start with a house, they start with a conversation. By paying attention to life events like retirement, becoming an empty nester, downsizing, relocation, divorce, or job changes, we have opportunities to connect people with the right real estate professional before they even ask.

This morning at BNI Ascend, we had the opportunity to hear from Brad Pierce, owner of Home Matters Caregiving. Brad shared valuable insight into the many ways families can support loved ones who want to remain safely and comfortably at home. His presentation covered everything from Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and fall prevention to medication management, companionship, and recognizing when additional care may be needed. It was a great reminder that quality home care isn’t just about helping with daily tasks, it’s about preserving dignity, independence, and peace of mind for both clients and their families.

🌳 Presenter of the Day – Bodhi Tree, LLC

Today at BNI Ascend Chapter, we had the pleasure of hearing from Anthony Kraschinsky, owner of Bodhi Tree, LLC, as our Presenter of the Day.

Anthony gave an outstanding presentation that clearly showed his passion for being an arborist. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and cares about the health, safety, and preservation of trees. He shared practical information on when trees should be pruned, what warning signs to look for, and how proper pruning can extend the life and beauty of a tree.

What I appreciated most was that Anthony doesn’t just remove trees, he takes the time to educate homeowners and recommend the best solution for each situation. His knowledge, professionalism, and respect for his craft were evident throughout his presentation.
