Our company started from gaining experience writing grants as a volunteer for two organizations -- and this is one of them. Justin was part of that team with a dream to build a dynamic heart of our community through a community recreation center. I saw his leadership skills and passion then, and I am so excited to see him being promoted to taking the helm of the Montrose Recreation District now -- leading toward even more forward-thinking capital investments and program expansions. Great choice MRD board of directors! Congratulations Justin Mashburn. Well deserved!

Save-the-Date! ThinkSharp! Consulting is excited to partner with Community Resource Center and our local libraries in Telluride and Durango to host watch-parties for the August Funder Connection event with the Colorado Health Foundation. (www.coloradohealth.org) The event is on Thursday, August 20 at 11:30AM. This is normally a $$ event, but since the libraries are CRC subscribers, we can offer it for FREE if you attend in person. Hope to see you there!

We’re honored to see Colorado Public Radio spotlight Montrose and the community effort behind our new child care facility.

Montrose continues to invest in solutions that support working families, strengthen local employers, and contribute to long-term economic growth. When parents have access to reliable child care, businesses are better positioned to attract and retain employees, and families can participate more fully in the workforce.

As communities across Colorado continue to face child care challenges, Montrose is demonstrating what can happen when local government, nonprofits, employers, and residents work together to find solutions.
