Cheers to Sara Millward for 15 great years at Alpine!

Sara started at Alpine in 2011 as Project Archaeologist and has supervised survey and mitigation projects throughout the Great Plains and Rocky Mountain regions. She was promoted to Senior Project Archaeologist in 2020, and then to Principal Investigator in 2022. With over 25 years of experience in cultural resource management, Sara is a mentor to our up-and-coming archaeologists, overseeing our project teams and playing a key role in Alpine’s success.

Happy anniversary to Charlie Reed, who is celebrating 15 years at Alpine!

Charlie grew up at Alpine. As a kid, he was washing artifacts and helping around the office, long before he became a staff member in 2011. He has worn many hats over the years, from monitoring construction projects to leading field crews during 18,000-acre surveys to overseeing large-scale excavations. He is now one of Alpine’s owners and Principal Investigators, and has over 23 years of experience working in the western United States. Charlie brings an attention-to-detail and technical expertise to every project, and is an integral part of Alpine’s team.

Happy anniversary and congratulations are in order for Jessie Boyd, who is celebrating 10 years with Alpine and was recently promoted to Regional Operations Manager!

Jessie joined Alpine in 2016 as Site Records Supervisor, overseeing the production of thousands of site records annually. In 2023, she helped establish Alpine’s office in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her love of checking boxes and following the rules made her a natural fit for maintaining Alpine’s permits, and she was promoted to Project Administrator in 2025. Early last year, she opened Alpine’s first brick-and-mortar office in Tulsa. We are proud of all of Jessie’s accomplishments in the last 10 years, and look forward to what the next decade brings!

Join us in congratulating Megan Carney Reed on her well-deserved promotion to Data Management Supervisor!

Since joining Alpine in 2009, Megan has been an essential part of our daily operations. From solving IT challenges and setting up seamless workspaces to designing and maintaining our site-recording database, her impact is felt across the entire team. She also plays a key role in technical report editing, managing field data uploads, and training new staff, bringing her expertise and dedication to everything she does.

We’re excited to see Megan step into this new role and know she will excel. Congratulations!
