A big welcome to Collin Price as a Principal Investigator!

Collin has worked as an archaeologist since 2016, with the majority of his experience in Arizona, Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Collin earned both his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Montana, Missoula and has a strong background in both the private and public sectors. He worked for the Bureau of Land Management for five years, including four years at the Uncompahgre Field Office in Montrose. His experience includes writing and preparing cultural resource portions of environmental documents under National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as well as consulting, collaborating, and coordinating with private clients, tribal governments, and federal, state, and municipal agencies. We are excited he’s bringing this expertise to Alpine.

Welcome, Collin!

Pete says the artifact in his winning photograph (An Ancestral Puebloan digging stick from southeastern Utah) is approximately 1 meter in length and surprisingly lightweight.
