This week we took our Summer Intern, Joseph Marah, out to eat at his restaurant of choice for an appreciation lunch. Joseph has assisted us with multiple grant applications, attending downtown merchant meetings, the planning of events and coordinating business meetings on behalf of MMDC during his time here. We will still see him around this fall, but not as often as classes at Central Michigan University are about to kick off once again. Thank you Joseph for spending the summer with us and for all your hard work.

The City of Mt. Pleasant, in partnership with the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association and Middle Michigan Development Corporation, is hosting a Solarize event in Mt. Pleasant once again.

Solarize Mt. Pleasant will be an informative event for both homeowners and businesses to learn about the cost-saving opportunities available with the installation of solar panels. This event will feature presentations on the GLREA Solarize Program, the MI Home Energy Rebate Program, and MIO Elective Pay, as well as information from the solar installer, Michigan Solar Solutions.
