Feeling extra springy today 🌸🌱

Playing around with color palettes for a client and here is one I ended up not using.

Saving for a future project because I love it.

It feels clean and dreamy and modern. Perfect for wellness coaches, nutritionists, holistic health practitioners, or healers looking for a spring refresh.

If your branding or website needs some love, head to my website to fill out an interest form. I’m taking clients for May and June and would love to work with you.

2016: What a time to be a health practitioner or nutritionist.

A time when:

- we were drinking our weight in kombucha, bone broth lattes, beer kvass, and collagen drinks
- homemade gummy bears were your weekend hobby
- people were still struggling to know whether it’s best to eat the whole egg or egg whites
- we were out here making our own almond milk, sprouting our almonds, and wringing out our cauliflower pizzas in tea towels
- we were washing our hair with apple cider vinegar and despised shampoo
- we stopped all perfumes and scents
- the nontoxic beauty was hard to find
- I wasn’t sick of beef sticks yet.
- blue light glasses were not popular and just coming on the scene and you looked insane if you wore them (nerd alert)
- my idols at the time were and they were still gaining popularity
- we posted about and only
- It was hard to find pre made healthy food anywhere (I prayed you could just buy some grain free snacks on the shelf!)
- you could post about raw milk and the Vx word without it being a political debate
- no one carried water bottles and no one drank enough water.
- everything was made of almonds (probably hurting our sensitive guts even more lol)
- cold smoothies were life (see comment above about hurting our guts)
- Everything was re-made into a flour! Cassava, plantain, cauliflower, tiger nuts
- coconut butter - the best discovery!
- I think I made my first fat bomb
- coconut oil was your moisturizer, chapstick, and cooking oil
- you could post a blurry pic of a bowl of broccoli with a three word caption and get 75 likes and comments
- word swag was all the rage — adding text on top of pictures! Can life get any better?!

I miss some of the effort I used to put into meals and being healthy — I’m re-inspired!

The wellness industry has changed so much in so little time. It’s literally wild.

Have you been around since 2016?! Thank you for sticking around with me!!

What’s your favorite thing you miss?! What else did I forget?!

Asking for testimonials shouldn’t feel like pulling teeth 🦷

But if you’re like most business owners, you either:
→ Forget to ask completely
→ Feel too awkward to follow up
→ Send one email and give up when no one responds
→ Finally get a testimonial but lose it in your inbox

Here’s what changed everything for me: I stopped “asking” and started building it into most of my systems.

Now testimonials come to me automatically because I’ve created multiple touchpoints throughout my customer journey where people can easily share feedback.

I just published my complete system with all 14 strategies, including:
✨ 5 automated methods you can set up this weekend ✨ The tool that transformed my testimonial game
✨ How I doubled my Etsy reviews with one simple message
✨ How to turn informal DMs into powerful social proof

Stop using the same Canva fonts as everyone else 🙅‍♀️

Custom fonts are way more affordable than you think (many are even under $50!) and they completely transform your website’s vibe.

Comment SUBSTACK to see my article on the current fonts I’m loving from and ✨

The right typography sets the tone, creates hierarchy, and makes your brand unforgettable. I’m learning a lot about fonts these days and can’t wait to share what I know.

Already using custom fonts? Drop your favorites in the comments! 👇

PS - It’s a paid article but I think you’ll enjoy it to make your brand stand out

“But Emily... someone is already doing what I want to do.”

I hear this ALL the time from aspiring course creators and digital product sellers.

And honestly? I almost didn’t start my business for the same reason. I saw other course coaches making millions and thought “why would anyone choose me?”

But it’s just fear showing up. Which is normal when you’re starting something new.

The truth: If there are others successfully selling what you want to sell, that’s proof there’s a MARKET for it. That’s a green light to move forward and you have an idea worth selling.

What IS unique? Your voice. Your story. Your approach. Your specific blend of experiences.

The general public isn’t following 50 people in your niche like you are. They’re scrolling, looking for someone who speaks their language and makes them feel understood.

That could be you.

I wrote a full article breaking down:
✨ Why “it’s been done before” is just an excuse
✨ How to get out of your head when fear pops up
✨ Why your “beginner” knowledge is exactly what people need

Can we talk about imposter syndrome for a sec?

Even with amazing testimonials and successful template launches, I still catch myself comparing to designers who’ve been at this for 10+ years.

I follow some incredible women designers and sometimes that comparison game hits HARD. 😅

So I did what any millennial does - I asked Claude AI for a reality check.

And honestly? The response was exactly what I needed to hear:

“Good design isn’t just pretty - it’s functional. Your tech skills are a HUGE advantage. Understanding your market matters more than art school training. You’re solving real problems - that’s the core of good design.”

Here’s what I realized:

🎯 My templates aren’t just beautiful - they convert
🎯 I understand what wellness businesses actually need because I’m a former Nutritional Therapist
🎯 My tech background means I have a unique perspective
🎯 I’m solving real problems, not just making things pretty

The truth? I specialize in functional, conversion-focused templates. And that’s actually more valuable than pure aesthetics.

If you’re solving a problem for someone, you’re already winning.

This is your reminder to focus on what your clients are saying, not what imposter syndrome whispers. ✨

Speaking of what clients are saying... this testimonial from a recent template buyer just landed in my inbox:

“Your designs are beautiful and have a great user experience feel”

This is exactly what I mean - functional AND beautiful. When your designs solve real problems AND look amazing, that’s when you know you’re on the right track.

What’s one thing you’re proud of in your business today that a client or buyer told you… maybe you didn’t even believe it yourself!!

Tell that imposter syndrome to shove it!! Drop it below!

Hopping on the trend of sharing why Instagram is fake and you should never compare where youre at in business, life, love, family whatever… to a stranger on the internet. You have no idea what goes on in their real life.

Easier said than done I know but here are some behind the scenes of my business that I don’t always share openly.

Having an online business in 2025 isn’t for the faint of heart.

We’re constantly torn between sharing too much and sharing too little.

Okay going back in my cave now 😛
