However, through research and experience it was discovered that the Lehigh Valley provides an excellent micro-climate for growing not only French Hybrid grapes, but also European varietals due to well drained soil and our terrain being very much like Europe. Therefore, in 1988 the winery expanded the vineyard another 5 acres, planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Cha
rdonnay, and have continued adding this acreage to it's present 50 acres. Escape to the vineyards with panoramic views of the Blue Mountain Range. The terraced vineyards will bring back fond memories of European wine regions. Blue Mountain's California style winery is beautifully appointed with the ambiance that you might find in the Napa Valley, and the warmth and friendliness of European vineyards. It's a great setting for parties, special occasions and celebrations. Our many events are held in our glass enclosed deck or outdoor deck, both surrounded by ponds and our terraced vineyards. Tasting: we offer tastings during our normal business hours for a $10 tasting fee. If you are visiting with a group of 8 or more people, we do require a reservation. Reservations may be made by calling the winery at 610-298-3068 during normal business hours. Tours: We offer walking tours periodically throughout the spring, summer and fall. Wine & Dining: You are always welcome to pack snacks or purchase some of our locally made cheeses to enjoy with your wine. In the spring, summer and fall we have outdoor seating. We have limited seating in our tasting room during the winter months. Please note PA state law states only alcohol purchased on site may be consumed on site. No outside alcohol is permitted on our premises, this is strictly enforced. Sunday Music Jam: We have live music every Sunday from 2-5pm. Groups: For groups of 8 or more we require advance reservations be made by calling 610-298-3068 during our normal business hours. Please note that on weekends we do fill our reservation openings quickly, so please allow ample time to ensure you receive a reservation. We can accommodate buses and limousines with advance notice and reservations.
