There are moments in life when your heart is overflowing with pride, gratitude, and tears all at once. ❤️🎓

This weekend, we safely moved my son into his college dorm as he begins the next chapter of his journey at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design (PCAD). And whew… I wasn’t ready! 😭

His father, his brother, and I shed plenty of tears as we watched him take this incredible step toward adulthood. But beneath every tear was GRATITUDE. 🙏🏽

Grateful to GOD for covering him, guiding him, and ordering his steps. Grateful for every teacher, mentor, family member, friend, advocate, and member of his village who poured love, encouragement, patience, and belief into him and helped get him to this moment.

My son, you are ready. ❤️
Go discover. Go create. Go learn. Go grow. Go become everything God has called you to be.

Your village is still here, cheering you on from near and far. And no matter how far you go, you will always have a home in our hearts.

Celebrating my oldest son as he received a college scholarship from the Federated Blocks of Laurelton (FBOL) at their Annual Jazz in the Garden Scholarship Luncheon. What a beautiful reminder that hard work, character, and community are investments that open doors.

Son, as you leave for college on Sunday, remember this: Never forget who you are, never be afraid to become who you are meant to be, and always make room for others to shine along the way. Walk boldly, stay humble, keep learning, and trust the gifts God placed inside of you.
