Just felt like pi***ng people off today 😏
Can you truly be 100% committed to Christ, meaning Jesus as your ONLY Lord, Savior, and the exclusive way to God, while staying deep in organizations like Freemasonry, the Eastern Star, Divine Nine (BGLOs), or anything with secret oaths, rituals invoking generic “Supreme Beings,” pagan symbolism, or divided loyalty?
Matthew 5:33-37 (Jesus speaking): “Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill to the Lord the vows you have made.’ But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all… All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.”
Why take elaborate, secret oaths with penalties or bindings when Jesus says let your yes be yes and no be no?
James 5:12: “Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your ‘Yes’ be yes, and your ‘No,’ no, so that you will not fall under judgment.”
Straight-up warning about oaths leading to condemnation.
Exodus 20:3 (First Commandment): “You shall have no other gods before me.”
If rituals reference or symbolically honor other deities, figures from mythology, or a non-exclusive “Great Architect/Supreme Being” that fits any faith, how does that square with exclusive devotion to the God of the Bible?
Ephesians 5:11: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Jesus walked in open light (John 8:12; 18:20—“I spoke openly… in secret have I said nothing”). Secret rituals and hidden “truths” feel opposite to that.
2 Corinthians 6:14: “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”
If the group requires allegiance that blends faiths or elevates the organization, is that unequal yoking?
Acts 4:12: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Jesus alone, no universalist path or works-based ladder.
I believe in the Divine One, the Triune God: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, revealed fully in Scripture. No mixing, no rivals, no secrets.
So genuine question for anyone in these orgs who also claims Christ: How do you reconcile the oaths, secrecy, symbols, and non-exclusive “deity” language with these verses? Not attacking, just curious what your honest take is. Drop your thoughts below. Let’s talk. 🔥
(Feel free to share respectfully—no name-calling, just Scripture and real dialogue.)
